Founders and Co-Directors of THiNK ABOUT iT Andy Ryan and Damien Freeleagus have been passionately creating, scripting and conducting theatre sport workshops, with various clients such as the National Rugby League, White Ribbon, and the Australian Football League, since 2012.

Andy Ryan

Andy Ryan is an accomplished Australian actor known for his work across film, television and live theatre. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Australian Film Awards for his portrayal of Andrew Farriss in INXS: Never Tear Us Apart (Channel 7). His screen credits include Tomorrow When the War BeganLast Cab to DarwinBlue Murder: Killer CopUnderbellyThe Appleton Ladies’ Potato RaceRake (ABC), Janet King (ABC), Fall GuyHamish & Andy: True Stories (Nine), and a leading role across four seasons of the hit TV series Love Child (Nine).

Andy graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) and has built a career spanning comedy, drama, improvised performance and lived-experience storytelling. His work is defined by emotional honesty, humour and a grounded, human approach to character.

He is also a passionate advocate for mental health, recovery and suicide prevention. In 2025, Andy completed his Diploma of Counselling, further strengthening his work with training in trauma-informed practice, crisis response, communication, interview skills and ethical decision-making.

Whether on stage or in front of the camera, Andy is driven by a simple purpose: tell the truth, share stories that matter, and leave people feeling more human than they did before.

Damien freeleagus

Since graduating from the acting department at QUT Damien has worked extensively in theatre, film and television. His television credits include The Pacific (HBO), Home and Away (Channel 7), The Cut (ABC) and Out of the Blue (Southern Star).

His feature film credits include Primal (Josh Reed) and Jucy (Louise Alston). Damien has also directed the Tropfest finalist Bird Therapy and had a pilot he cowrote optioned by Screentime.

He has been devising and performing in the theatre sports program since 2012.
